This is a years-long dream realized! What an honor to have the priveledge of having my friend Race participate at one of my weekend or speaker events!

My story about Race: Years ago when I was a “wee gay” I attended a Leather contest at Jewels Nightclub in LA (1990-ish). I remember being mesmerized and drooling over this hot Leatherman, my friend says “do you know who that is? That’s Race Bannon!” I was like, “Whoahhh that’s him?” because I believe I had heard of him previously from Drummer Mag and The Leather Journal. I was awestruck to actually see him in person. Back then I never met him personally. That happened many years later, but I never forgot him. Fast forward… our paths crossed, we became friends because of mutual friends, family, and a host of similar interests. The fact that we call each other “brother” blows my mind, I am humbled, I am honored, I am motivated to excellence.

Race is involved in many projects but heres one I’m particularly fond of: On Guard podcast, where they air topics like Bathhouses, Sex Club Ettiquette & Hookups before Grindr, Discussions about Pride, Leather contests & Folson Street and so much more. (below is the link to the podcast)
